When two families become one through marriage, there is often a blend of tradition and vision. For Yalda and Brad, their wedding day was just that, a perfect combination of sophisticated style and customs that made their wedding day a remarkable success.
To compliment the couples impeccable style, they selected Downtown Seattle’s premier luxury hotel, The Fairmont Olympic. The landmark of distinction and tradition, captures the old-world charm and elegance of the Italian Renaissance. Located in the heart of the city, this legendary hotel offers breathtaking architecture, acclaimed dining and impeccable service.
With the help of planning team Fleur de Lise Events, Yalda and Brad created a timeless luxury experience for their guests. Everything from the all white ballroom with gold accents and a hint of pink, to the white floor wrap with the custom monogram and five tiered white and gold cake.
Getting ready in her dream dress from Lovella Bridal Seattle, Yalda enjoyed the company of her loving mother and sister. Her hair, pinned back with soft curls and set with an ornate pearl and crystal headpiece, was the perfect compliment to her smokey eye and soft mauve lip color. Slipping into her gown and silver crystal embellished Jimmy Choo’s, Yalda was excited to see her husband-to-be for the first time in his wedding attire.
Brad, suiting up in his all black tux with white shirt and black bow tie, put on the finishing touch to his ensemble, a Rolex watch and a spritz of Yves Saint Laurent cologne. Brad made his way to see his bride and to give her a letter that he tenderly wrote for her. Yalda also had a letter for Brad, and together they sat and read the words that their hearts spoke. With tears of happiness they toasted to their love, and to the future that lay ahead of them.
Wedding portraits for Yalda and Brad began in the hotel with their immediate family. The sense of pride was beaming from their parents, as they excitedly welcomed each other into the family. Afterwards it was time for Yalda and Brad to take to the streets for portraits of just the two of them. Capturing classic and iconic shots of the couple, with Seattle's Space Needle in the background and on the steps out front of the Fairmont, with it’s golden glow.
Making their way back inside the hotel, Yalda and Brad enjoyed a few moments to rest before the ceremony, as guests began to arrive. The aisle was lined with glass vases that held large arrangements of white roses, white hydrangeas and white orchids atop clear plexiglass risers. Lining the sides of a white aisle runner were rows of gold chiavari chairs and white pillar candles in glass vases.
The ceremony was lovely and traditional. Brad walked his mother down the aisle to her seat and then stood at the end of the aisle to watch his bride come down the stairs in her father's arm. Customary readings to begin, followed by vows and ring exchange, then sealed with a kiss and the signing of the marriage license. Yalda and Brad were officially married and they couldn’t be happier. Their family and friends cheered as they made their way back down the aisle.
The reception was a vision of white, crystal and gold. The tables were draped with white satin linen, and clear pillars held an abundance of white florals, greenery and a hint of pink spray roses. Gold chiavari chairs sat all around the tables, with gold chargers and white pillar candles on crystal candle holders. The head table was especially defined by the full white draping behind, and candles all around. The five tiered cake in white and gold, sat elegantly on an elaborate etched silver stand, with gold glass votive candles all around. Walking into the room reveal was a highlight for Yalda and Brad, as they entered the breathtaking display of timeless luxury. The night was full of extraordinary food and fun, with a four course menu designed by the award winning Fairmont Chefs, and speeches and toasts to the newlyweds from their beloved family and friends. The night continued with a traditional knife dance, and then a first dance from the couple, and a father and daughter dance that had all the room entranced. With great music, the dance floor was on fire all night, as Yalda and Brad danced the night away with their family and friends.
